I don't really feel supported by community because it's such a bad neighborhood. The people don't nessecary care about things like creating a better way to live. In ways I support others is trying to attend there activities, or giving them the best advice possible.
I agree with Tyla I don't feel supported by my community because people in society today don't really care about the type of environment we live in or atleast try to help make it better not worse.
I feel supported by my community by my neighbors always looking out for each other and I support others by helping those in need such as donating clothes or just helping out around my community.
I believe that my community promotes the idea of getting your education. Many programs are available to help you get ahead. I support others by helping with homework or any advice.
Ways I feel supported by my community is by my church. I know my pastor is there for me when I need him to be. For example, in the year of 2012 I needed to get more volunteer hours for my graduation requirements and this happened to be around the same time when hurricane Sandy hit New York. So for my Thanksgiving morning my pastor drove me in an area of New York that was hit terribly by Sandy and I helped be apart of that community to give out clothing, blankets, toiletries, and food to that area. This way I was able to support others because I was there around 8 AM helping out all into the afternoon. Many people who I gave items to told me how glad they were that I was there because I didn't have to wake up so early to help out. But really I enjoyed it and wished I could have done it the following year after.
In my school community, advisory is given to the students which enables students to engage in intimate conversations. It's a place where we can discuss our opinions and ideas without receiving offensive criticism. In addition, I believe that I receive immense support from my Journalism class. Every time we debate my fellow journalists provide helpful feedback in order to strengthen my skills and the skills of others. I support others academically by providing assistance with homework or classwork. I also encourage my peers to have confidence and to have ambitions. I advise them to join clubs in order to attain new skills. Furthermore, I support my community by performing community service in the Soup Kitchen and helping the less privileged. In general, we should find ways to support our community because our community supports us.
I feel supported by my community by attending church. Everyone and anyone is welcomed to attend church where people listen to your problems and help you get through them. Without church no one would be able to forgive others and themselves for any bad thing that happend. Therefore church is a way I am supported by my community. I support others by giving and not taking, meaning I don't mind helping people even though I know that I won't be getting anything out of it.
I feel supported by my community at all times, as it provides me with great institutions of education, close access to transportation, and shops where I can purchase things I need. the people in my community are supportive in that there is always an individual who is looking out to listen and help me. For that reason, I like to do the same with others. I try to lend a helping hand and ear to those who call and those who can't. For instance, by donating to the food drive I am able to help those in my community that don't have food.
I feel supported by my community in many ways. My family supports me by always being there for me. My friends at school support me by giving me advice ,as well as helping me with certain assignments. My
teachers at school support me by always encouraging me to have confidence in my self no matter how hard something may be.
Not only does my community support me , but I also try to support others. At home I help my nephew and niece with their homework. I also give advice to my friends at school during their hard times. In my neighborhood we have donation boxes so I donate my clothes that I don't wear and try to help the people who are in need.
The ways in which i feel supported by my community is where people respect others and unify as one even if they're from somewhere else. With everyone supporting each other even if they're from somewhere else supports my community because it shows how everyone can be unified and treated equally. The ways i support others is by giving help if they need any. For example, in the bus i would give up my seat for a elderly person to sit.
I feel supported by my community due to morning meeting. Morning meeting has allowed us- students as TYWLS to confide on each other for celebrations or announcements. To give each other responsibility and get familiar with each other. This familiarity allows us to support each other
I feel supported by the community because I have health insurance and it makes me less worried about the expensive cost of the medicines. I support the community by accepting certain things it is offering me.
My community offers me different kinds of services. For example, a library and school. My community is also kept neatly in most areas. So.all in all, my community offers a clean learning environment.
I feel supported by my community by my school. I feel tywls is very supportive of its students and I am glad that I am able to rely on the teachers and peers in this school. I support others by encouraging them to do their best and be their best. I try to give people the message that someone is supporting the decisions that help make them happiest.
Ways that I have felt supported by my community is when I needed to go around and ask people to fund me for my track team to go away to Junior Olympics . I ask them to fund me and they would give my track team money for traveling purposes and hotel expenses .
Ways I feel supported by my community. One I feel supported with all the libraries we have. Also I feel supported by going to church.
i feel supported by my community well because they give us education and also church . I support others by attending community service and helping others
I dont feel supported by the community because there's nothing free in life, for everything that comes into you life you give back in some way. However, i support my community by donating clothes to those in need and recycling whenever i can.
Ways that I feel supported by my community is this . I am a track athlete . My track teammates and I went around in our neighborhoods and asked the people in our community to sponsor us . We were taking a big trip to the junior olympics in Des moines Iowa. It was very expensive . All we had to pay for was our plane tickets , money for food and hotel we would raise from our community sponsors. Once my community saw that I was doing something positive with the money that I was asking them for they had no problem donating . I told them how big junior olympics was and that the best of the best young athletes from all over the country come her to compete they were in shock . They were very happy for my teammates and myself and had no problem donating.
I dont feel like im supported by my community. They dont care about anything like making things better for themselves and upcomming generations.
The way i support others is by staying out of trouble. There is a lot going on in the world today and me causing chaos wouldn't help any situation. I feel supported by my community because i am constantly being looked over and protected even when i don't notice it. Neighbors, friends, and family keep me going daily and always support me in my beliefs and ideas.
One way that I help out others is every Tuesday of the week on my lunch break in school I assist students with their class work or homework .
